Equipment Vendors at NOR Facilities
North of the River Recreation and Park District (NOR) desires to provide safe parks and recreational opportunities for its residents and visitors. Vendors requesting to place equipment, including inflatables, at NOR parks must meet certain requirements and agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this application and agreement. Upon approval of the application and agreement, a vendor will be placed on a list of approved vendors which will be distributed to all NOR centers.
Requirements
- Completion of the Equipment Vendor Application
- Submission of General Liability Insurance Coverage and Endorsements in accordance with the District's Current Insurance Requirements Guide
Vendors Allowed
- Inflatable Bounce Houses & Inflatable Slides
- Combination Inflatables (Bounce/Climb/Slide)
- Sport Simulators
Equipment, including other types of inflatables, must be approved by NOR Management. The Vendor may be required to be on-site to operate the equipment.
Vendors Not Allowed
- Inflatables exceeding 20 feet in height
- All Water Inflatables
Rules for Equipment Vendor Placement
- Park users must first obtain a reservation for an NOR park shelter or open turf area and notify NOR staff that a vendor will be used at their reservation.
- The vendor must abide by all local, state, and federal laws as well as NOR Ordinances during operation of equipment at NOR facilities.
- Equipment must be set up and removed only by trained and qualified representatives of the vendor in compliance with manufacturer's specifications.
- The equipment must be placed on turf and situated so that proper clearance is maintained.
- Stakes, as recommended by the manufacturer, must be used to secure inflatables and other types of equipment. Equipment must not be tied or tethered to trees, tables, or other park amenities.
- NOR DOES NO PROVIDE ELECTRICITY. Vendors must provide a generator for equipment operation, inflation, and deflation as needed of the apparatus. The generator must be placed a safe distance from the equipment and electrical cords placed to prevent tripping hazards.
- Vehicles are not permitted on NOR turf or walkways.
- Equipment, including inflatables, may not be used during excessively windy conditions.
- The vendor must provide users with instructions that reflect safe levels of operation.
- The equipment must not be left unattended. Park user is responsible for supervising the equipment upon its delivery until such time as the equipment is picked up by the vendor.
- Damage to the park facility directly attributable to the placement of any inflatable on NOR property will be the responsibility of the applicant and/or vendor.
