THEATRIXX ACTING WORKSHOP
Join the fun through self –discovery and build increased self expression in this ACTORS WORKSHOP for beginners. The workshop is being directed by Ron Bastone, former Director and Producer of Hollywood Actors Theatre in Los Angeles and former TV writer of Kids, Inc. and The New Mickey Mouse Club.
You will learn the basic techniques and skills of acting through improvisation and theatre games designed to expand your imagination, focus your concentration and build a believable character through scene study, stage movement and body language. All workshop members will work on scenes from well known plays or movies, working with scene partners. This initial 8 week workshop will be ongoing for those with a serous interest in acting as either a hobby or career. Successful workshop members will then present their scenes for an invited audience.
There are two workshops, one for adults, where the more mature workshop members can explore those hidden facets of their personality and a teen workshop for 13-18 year olds to build self-confidence, self-esteem and self-discipline . If you think you may have been bitten by the Acting Bug, this is the place to scratch that itch.
