If interested in applying for an open position with NOR:
- Applications for employment accepted only during open recruitments
- Submit an Employment Application (must be a District Application)
- Submit any required documents specified in the Job Announcement
- Resumes will not be accepted in place of a District Application but a resume will be accepted when submitted along with a completed District Employment Application
- Submit all documents by the recruitment deadline as indicated on the Job Announcement to the Personnel Office located at NOR's Administrative Office, 405 Galaxy Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93308
*Please note: The applicant is responsible for assuring that his/her application is submitted by the deadline to the Personnel Office, therefore, the Personnel Office discourages applications being submitted to other NOR centers and makes no guarantees that the application will reach the Personnel Office by the position deadline.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT WITH THE DISTRICT:
An offer of employment will be contingent upon passing the following:
- Required to submit to a criminal history check through fingerprinting
- A background investigation may be conducted
- Post Offer Medical Exam, Functional Capacity Exam, Drug screen, and / or TB Skin
test may be required
- Required to submit verification of your identity and citizenship or legal right to work
in the United States
- Employees under 18 years of age must provide a valid work (school) permit.
If already graduated, proof of graduation may be required.
